What does a Physician Coder, Full-time (CPC or CCA Required) do?

As a full-time Certified Physician Coder at Harrison County Hospital, you can expect a structured workday that begins at 8:00 AM and concludes at 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, aligning with standard business hours. Your primary responsibility will be to review and analyze medical documentation to ensure precise coding for billing purposes. You will work closely with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies and ensure compliance with coding regulations. Daily tasks include assigning appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and changes within the industry.
