Job Description

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analysis, SQL, reporting, and visualization tools and a proven ability to translate complex data into insights, dashboards, and recommendations that drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders with clear visualizations and explanations of findings.
  • Use BI tools and analytics software to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct data analysis to generate meaningful insights from large data sets.
  • Write, execute, and analyze SQL queries.
  • Create ad hoc and standard SSRS reports to document analysis results.
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI to work with high volumes of data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and goals for data analysis.
  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate business needs to improve workflow processes and troubleshoot BI tool issues, optimizing performance and usability.
  • Ensure accuracy and validity of data sets and reports.
  • Organize, classify, and synthesize data to isolate fundamental issues.
  • Identify logical outcomes from analysis and propose options and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain applications and automation scripts using Visual Basic (VB) to streamline reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with SQL, MS Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of software development processes including requirements, design, development, testing, and problem resolution.
  • Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Experience using MS Office and Google Workspace applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive. VB exposure is helpful.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize feedback and adjust accordingly.
  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Visual Basic (VB) for automation and scripting.
  • Interest in AI tools and comfort working in environments that leverage AI technologies.
