Prestonwood Country Club, a prestigious establishment with three 18-hole golf courses located in beautiful Cary, NC is in search of an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead our renowned restaurant, The Red Fox.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is primarily responsible for a la carte dining operations in the Red Fox Pub, Patio, Card Room, and special events outside these areas. This area of responsibility is the equivalent of running a high-volume, full-service casual and fine dining restaurant with the addition of member recognition (learning and using all members' names) and providing complimentary tea, coffee, and ice to members. The position requires wine and food knowledge for ordering, suggestive selling, training, stocking, inventory, and updating menus/beverage lists used in the Red Fox Pub and additional dining areas.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in culinary, hospitality, business, or any other related field; or equivalent combination of education.
  • 2 - 3 years of F&B leadership experience in a full-service restaurant outlet. Private event booking experience is a plus.
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, Mondays, and as requested by Red Fox Manager and or Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Demonstrate an ability to provide excellent service to Members and their Guests.
  • Show excellent oral and written communication skills, previous use of POS systems, Word, and Excel.

  • The rate of pay offered will be commensurate with the level of experience and education.
  • The selected candidate MUST pass a background check, drug test, and be eligible to work in the US.
