Research Associate I - In Vivo

About the Opportunity
Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Research Associate to work within the Discovery In Vivo Pharmacokinetic Team at our Marlborough, MA location to work with rodent models in a fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate is driven, hardworking, willing to learn, dedicated, and passionate about science. Given that we are a Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans, this ground floor position offers unique opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute meaningfully to the creation and development of our services, expand their knowledge base by participation in multidisciplinary teams, and advance their career in capabilities and responsibilities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Under close guidance from senior scientific staff, the successful candidate will:
• Perform routine animal husbandry, handling and restraint
• Develop basic skills for dose administration, sample collection and sample processing. This will include various tissue sample collections.
• Utilize software to collect data such as clinical observations, body weights, and dose administration and sample collection events
• Participate in efforts to improve processes and streamline procedures
• Proactively communicate study events and status with Principal Investigator
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels within and across departments
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or another related scientific field. No prior laboratory experience required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.
Skills:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented while working under tight timelines
• Adapts readily, willingly, and effectively to changes in assignments and priorities
• Able to multitask and independently manage time to maximize productivity
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

In addition to the attributes described above, the ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, open-minded, self-aware, flexible, data-driven and objective in its evaluation, persistent and optimistic in the face of challenges and uncertainty, and willing to make decisions and take ownership for assigned responsibilities.
Compensation:
The target base salary for this position is between $51,400 - $65,450 per year. The specific rate for this position may vary and will be based upon factors including, but not limited to the individual's experience, education, and skills. In addition to wages, Meadowhawk Biolabs provides a full benefits package upon hire date.
