Job Description 6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Senior Director of Finance in Atlanta, GA. Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit organization based in Atlanta dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable individuals through therapeutic services, education, and professional development. This role serves as a financial leader for the organization, overseeing accounting operations, grant compliance, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy.

The position plays a critical role in ensuring fiscal integrity and sustainability across a diverse portfolio of funding sources, including federal grants. It's a compelling opportunity for a seasoned nonprofit finance professional who wants their work to have real social impact. Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and grant-specific allocations Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, monitor performance against budget, and present financial reports to leadership and the Board Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal grant requirements (2 CFR Part 200), and support the annual single audit process Oversee accounting platforms (SAGE Intacct, Salesforce, Bill.com) and supervise a small finance team Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master's degree a plus 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit environment Familiarity with federal grant compliance and single audit requirements preferred Proficiency in SAGE Intacct, Bill.com, or similar accounting platforms; strong Excel skills required
