Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator.
  • Extensive experience with Atlassian Jira Software (Server/Data Center) and Jira Service Management (JSM) Data Center.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining Automation for Jira automation rules.
  • Expertise in Jira administration, including:
    • User and group management
    • Project roles and issue roles
    • Permission schemes
    • Issue security schemes
    • Notification schemes
    • Field configurations and workflows
  • Hands-on experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting.
  • Experience using and extending Jira REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for Jira UI customizations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience integrating Jira with reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Experience developing Jira Data Center plugins/extensions using the Atlassian Java SDK.
  • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

  • Automate Jira administration tasks, including user, group, role, and scheme management.
  • Develop and support integrations with upstream and downstream applications using REST APIs.
  • Maintain documentation, scripts, and deployment processes for promoting configurations across environments.
  • Perform peer code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Follow SDLC best practices, including version control, automated testing, build management, configuration management, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot Jira platform issues and provide ongoing administration and support.
