Location: Koch Industries - World Headquarters Campus - Wichita, KS
Pay: $22.00- $28.00/Hr.
Job Summary
The Landscape Technician provides support for the entire exterior grounds of the property. This role has a range of responsibilities, including irrigation repair and maintenance as well as, mowing, trimming, edging, pesticide applications, landscape installation, equipment maintenance and snow removal. This position will require the employee to be on-call for after-hours emergencies and seasonal duties, as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair irrigation system by performing routine zone checks, valve disassembly and cleaning and controller scheduling.
  • Assist with maintaining landscape and turf aesthetics by performing regular mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, pesticide application.
  • Maintain health of turf and plants by performing pest and disease identification and treatment solutions.
  • Operate landscaping equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures including storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain compliance with all codes, laws and regulations.
  • Action & complete work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) according to designated service level agreements.
  • Participate in technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
  • Perform condition inspections on assets such as parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, storm drains and equipment & tools.
  • Perform snow removal tasks during snow or icy events.

Knowledge and Personal Skills
  • Team focus, timely, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Suite

Education / Experience
  • Education - High school diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's License required
  • Irrigation system experience preferred.
  • Experience in operating most, if not all, of the following motorized equipment: ZTR mowers, string trimmers, edgers, utility tractors, utility vehicles and snow blowers
  • Basic hand tool knowledge and equipment maintenance activities
  • Two (2) years of experience in a commercial landscaping environment preferred.
  • Commercial pesticide applicator license preferred.
  • Plant knowledge/identification preferred.

Work Environment
  • Wear PPE such as safety glasses or goggles, ear protection, hand gloves, hearing protection, fall protection, hats, sunscreen, steel-toed or composite boots, hi-visibility vest or other PPE as required.
  • Work overtime when necessary, including on-call for emergency or other seasonal-like duties.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and stretching.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to work in all climate conditions.
