What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire aSenior Application Developer within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business based in Brentwood, TN.In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting high-volume financial applications that are critical to transaction processing and business operations. This role requires a senior-level developer who can work independently, lead complex application development efforts, guide coding logic, support legacy and enterprise systems, and partner closely with technical and business stakeholders.

You will report directly to the VP, Compliance and regularly collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, Operations, Infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support custom applications and configurations for corporate application systems and services
  • Lead complex development efforts for high-volume transaction processing and financial services applications
  • Manage and guide coding logic, including conducting and supporting code reviews
  • Work independently on assigned development, enhancement, support, and maintenance tasks
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into application designs, system modifications, and technical solutions
  • Plan, investigate, and propose systems and application solutions to support business needs
  • Prepare workflows and technical documentation for writing, testing, and maintaining computer programs
  • Encode, test, debug, and install programs and procedures in coordination with Operations and Infrastructure teams
  • Correct, test, and document changes to existing programs and production applications
  • Support existing applications by troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements
  • Communicate effectively with Product Management, Project Management, Operations, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders during application design and delivery
  • Conduct training, walkthroughs, and presentations for users, stakeholders, and technical teams as needed
  • Lead or mentor small development teams on complex application development initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
  • 4+ years of hands on application development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications in a high-volume transaction processing or financial services environment
  • Strong ability to work independently and partner closely with business and technical teams

  • Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle

  • Self-motivated with an interest in working closely with the business to support transaction processing and financial services applications
  • Interest in software development and production support within a high-volume business systems environment

Pay Transparency

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 – $135,000, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job‑related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits (where applicable), may also be provided.
