Job description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Waterfront Business Operations Division (Code 1210), Business and Strategic Planning Office (Code 1200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience applying skills in problem solving, analysis of various types of data, and knowledge of ships maintenance availabilities, particularly as related to nuclear work.
  • Experience serving as an analyst or advisor evaluating complex submarine maintenance availabilities and projects within a naval shipyard or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience utilizing management systems-such as the Capabilities Plan (CP), Workload and Resources Report (WARR), Performance Measurement and Control (PMC), and Business Objects-to conduct in-depth analyses of financial data, schedule, and resource allocation strictly as they pertain to submarine programs.
  • Experience developing strategic plans and cost-saving initiatives for submarine-centric CNO and non-CNO projects, while coordinating with high-level stakeholders (e.g., NAVSEA, Fleet Forces Command) to resolve complex issues impacting submarine workload alignment and execution.
