Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst in our Colorado Springs, CO location.

As a Configuration Management Analyst, you will get to support plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Support configuration data management planning, including process definition, implementation, and training

  • Implement new configuration management (CM) tools (Teamcenter Mission PLM) and act as the CM Owner and Administrator

  • Maintain a systematic change management process by generating configuration management documents and support engineering change control

  • Produce new configuration management process documentation as required

  • Prepare documents for archival and maintain archived records as required

  • Owner of the CM Process, and program technical baseline

  • Manage the storage and processes for officially updating our documentation and data libraries

  • Follow the CM/DM processes throughout project life cycles to maintain consistent configuration control, developing, operating, and maintaining change managed baselines

  • Interfacing with program management, team members, and the customer while keeping track of documents and action items

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Maintain - Process Documentation (Configuration Management Plan, Master HW list, Master SW List, Engineering drawings, Technical Baseline)

  • Transfer of CM artifacts between environments

  • Audits of CM artifacts supporting program needs

  • Controlling baselines

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 1 years of relevant experience with a PhD. 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active Secret clearance at time of application

  • Configuration management and change control experience

  • Experience in Agile methodology (Kanban, Scrum, etc.)

  • Experience with SharePoint

  • Experience with MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)

  • Experience creating and documenting workflow processes for engineering changes

  • This position requires full-time on site at the COCO-01 facility (standard work schedule is a 9/80)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to project plan and execute

  • Process improvement experience

  • Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus

  • Experience with digital configuration management tools (Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill PLM, Autodesk Vault, Solidworks PDM, etc.)

  • Experience with a myriad of CM tools and processes

  • Drafting and/or CAD exposure or experience to facilitate drawing and model review and transition into new digital tools

  • Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management

  • Experience implementing digital configuration management tools into various engineering lifecycle phases

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
