Location: Hickory, NC (Primary Service Area: Hickory, Lincolnton, Vale, Cherryville, Shelby, and Statesville,

with periodic travel to Goldsboro, Havelock, Davis, and Sea Level)


Hickory Medical Properties is seeking an experienced, hands-on Housing & Property Manager to oversee a

growing portfolio of residential properties, recovery housing, and short-term rental (Airbnb) properties

across North Carolina.


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping facilities operating efficiently, and

coordinating multiple projects. The successful candidate will combine property management skills with

practical maintenance knowledge and the ability to coordinate contractors and vendors.


Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of multiple residential properties.

Perform minor repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, drywall, fixture replacement,

and general maintenance.

Identify maintenance needs before they become major issues.

Coordinate and supervise outside contractors for larger repairs, renovations, HVAC, electrical,

roofing, and specialty work.

Schedule preventative maintenance and maintain property maintenance calendars.

Monitor Airbnb calendars and coordinate turnover schedules, inspections, maintenance, and

readiness for guests.

Conduct routine property inspections and document maintenance needs.

Ensure homes remain clean, safe, attractive, and fully operational.

Assist with renovations, property improvements, and capital projects.

Purchase supplies and maintain maintenance inventory.

Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies as needed.

Travel between properties throughout the region.


Qualifications

Experience in property management, facilities management, construction, or general contracting.

Strong knowledge of residential maintenance systems.

Ability to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repair work.

Experience coordinating contractors and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Comfortable using computers, email, online calendars, and scheduling software.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing Airbnb or other short-term rental properties.

Experience with residential renovations or remodeling.
