Paragon offers a wide range of environmental investigation, consulting, compliance, and remediation services as well as IT solutions, Facility O&M, Materiel Support, Supply and Security to both private- and public-sector clients throughout Alaska and the Continental U.S. Paragon’s experienced professional staff is dedicated to producing high-quality documentation and providing safe field execution to support its clients’ projects in line with local, state and federal guidelines and regulations. About this position: Project Manager Location – Anchorage, AK The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Monitor safety, quality control, and efficiency on projects Prepare project submittals, work plans, and reports Manage document production and review Interfacing with the client, internal teams, and subcontractors to provide reports and ensure quality deliverables Meet schedule performance and financial objectives by tracking and forecasting project progress and requirements Supervise technical staff responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining plans, permits, and standard operating procedures for projects. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in sciences and/or engineering Level of Experience Requirements: Five plus (5+) years’ project management experience in environmental remediation and investigation activities Recent experience with federal clients including AFCEC, NAVFAC, USACE, and/or USEPA Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, and ADEC regulations and processes Ability to travel to and work on remote project sites when required Ability to pass a background check to obtain access to military bases Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Advanced computer skills Experience with scheduling software (Prima Vera P6 or MS Schedule) Ability to identify value-engineering alternatives Prior advanced cost proposal and work breakdown development experience. Ability to prepare and review technical documents Must be task oriented, self-motivated, and have the inherent ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as team member as well as a team lead Experience investigating and remediating contaminated sites Preferred Professional licensing in Engineering is strongly preferred, professional licensing or registration in Geology, or Project Management certification will also be considered Master’s degree in science and/or engineering Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER and 8 Hour Refresher Current Alaska experience with federal clients including AFCEC, NAVFAC, USACE, USEPA, and others GIS Experience Necessary Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
