Job description

Payroll Administrators will provide assistance with semi-monthly payroll, reporting, account reconciliation, T4 processing, audits, and remittances. Responsibilities:

  • In-house payroll including payroll entry, reporting, and inquiries
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payrolls, including accurate payment of wages, deductions, benefits and related activities 
  • Manage and adjust vacation day entitlements as required
  • Perform off-cycle payroll payments and processing 
  • Develop reports in Workday as required and as requested by HR, management 
  • Ensure compliance with government legislation and General Accounting Principles (GAP)
  • Manage taxable benefit calculations, and perform account reconciliations 
  • Process and calculate short-term disability and WCB payments 
  • Prepare year-end reports and T4s 
  • Work with a dedicated team to improve payroll processes where needed
Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in payroll
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • PCP or CPM Designations would be an asset
  • Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment, providing a high level of customer service to coworkers and customers alike
