Certified Surgical Tech

Job Title: Surgical Technician

Profession: Surgical Technician

Shift: AM (06:30 โ€“ 15:00)

Hours per Shift: 8 hours

Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty required

License: Nationally certified

Certifications: BLS

Must-Have:

  • Scrub experience in various surgical specialties.
  • Availability for call shifts.

Description:

Start Date: ASAP. Shift: Monday - Friday, 06:30 - 15:00. Call shifts: 15:00 - 06:30 M-F and Saturday & Sunday 06:30 - 06:30. Expected to work post-call. There is a 30-minute response time for call shifts. Call shifts will mainly be for C-sections but may include other gynecological procedures such as suction D&C and exploratory laps for ectopic pregnancy. Occasional orthopedic cases may also be included.

We are looking for someone with scrub experience in the following areas:

  • ENT procedures including tonsillectomies, tympanostomy tube placements, and turbinate reductions.
  • General Surgery such as gallbladder surgeries, appendectomies, hernia repairs, excisions, port placements, and breast procedures with needle localization.
  • Gastrointestinal cases including EGD and colonoscopy.
  • Ophthalmological procedures, mainly cataract surgeries.
  • Gynecological surgeries including hysteroscopy, D&C, laparoscopic hysterectomy, robotic hysterectomy, and C-sections.
  • Orthopedic surgeries such as total hip, total knee, total shoulder replacements, knee and shoulder scopes, ACL repairs, and various fractures.
  • Podiatry procedures such as bunion and hammer toe corrections, and Achilles tendon repair.
  • Pain management, specifically neurotransmitter placements (2-3 per month).
