Position Summary

The Quality Systems Intern will report directly to the Quality Systems Manager and assist with various projects in ensuring continued compliance of Bracco Medical Technologies to medical device standards and regulations. This includes helping with supporting implementation of our new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System, supporting change requests and change orders, assisting, and vital maintenance of Product Documentation in our electronic systems. Learn about the regulations and requirements that governments around the world require to be in place to ensure the safe development and production of medical devices and help to ensure the Bracco Medical Technologies quality system is properly compliant to these requirements. This role will provide hands‑on technical support for engineering and other document changes and investigate and evaluate the effectiveness of completed corrective actions. Develop the experience and knowledge necessary to launch a future Quality Systems career in the Medical Device industry.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the activities required with the implementation of the new PLM System
  • Data entry and data clean‑up
  • Instruction writing and training material creation
  • Assist with organizing meetings and training sessions with employees
  • Interact with Eden Prairie engineering team to support change orders supporting development and ongoing sustaining engineering activities
  • Provide quality assurance oversight of documentation change orders
  • Provide support for the internal audit program, as well as any external audits by organizations such as FDA, BSI and others
  • Assist with Corrective Action (CAPA) activities, including investigations and verification for effectiveness
  • Assist with controlling electronic records and documentation, including Manufacturing and Service records
  • Assist with tracking and updating training records
  • Training to be provided
  • Students will be exposed to working with various quality processes within the Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) organization. They will learn key requirements which need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Additionally, our interns and co‑ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in‑person with BMT professionals.
Qualifications
  • Qualified students have completed their sophomore year of coursework
  • Preferred programs include, but are not limited to: Business, Chemistry, Communications, Engineering, Biology or Physics
  • Moderate level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in problem-solving
  • Demonstrated knowledge and basic understanding of statistics, data analysis, and reporting of results

Estimated Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00/hour *Estimated Starting Pay Range is reflective of the range Bracco Medical Technologies reasonably expects to pay for the position. The range provided is based on compensation and market data specific to the position.
