Job description

The Product Management Director - Top-Level Domains (TLDs), leads the strategic thinking and planning in the areas of core business requirements. This position oversees broad-based cross-functional efforts to direct the design, launch and management of new or enhanced products and services.    

This position will work closely with the platform, technology services, customer support, finance, legal, marketing and account management teams to ensure that Verisign achieves its business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drives TLD product strategy. Owns the concept lifecycle from ideation to final approval.  Drives approved business plans and concepts to completion as the subject matter expert.
  • Provides thought leadership based on feedback gathered from cross-functional teams and reporting potential implications to the product strategy.   
  • Creates and executes roadmaps to achieve business objectives on time.
  • Proactively develops strategic assessments of opportunities, providing recommendations to address them.
  • Writes reports, situational analyses and training materials through collaboration with peers and cross functional stakeholders. 

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years' experience with generic Top-Level Domains (TLDs), managing products and services and their delivery preferably within a technology-related, regulated industry
  • 5+ years' experience in launching TLDs and managing the TLD lifecycle
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree, preferred
  • Strong analytical, communications, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, engineers, and senior leadership
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Ability to operate at an operational and strategic level
  • Strong business acumen, good judgment, attention to detail, objectivity, and accountability
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively, making data-informed decisions
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to manage a large number of internal stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong presentation abilities

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $180,700 - $244,500.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
