Job description

About the Role

Are you someone who thrives on helping others, communicates with ease, and genuinely enjoys creating exceptional experiences?

Do you prefer working from the comfort of your home while supporting travellers during moments that matter most? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our team.

As an After-hours Travel Associate, you'll provide high-touch, urgent support to our clients outside of regular business hours. From lastminute travel changes to hotel checkin challenges, you'll be the calm, resourceful expert they rely on. Reporting to the Director of Operations (or delegate), you'll manage inbound inquiries and deliver timely, accurate solutions that keep our travellers moving-no matter the hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to incoming client requests via phone, email, text, or chat.
  • Provide sameday itinerary confirmations and accurate travel documentation.
  • Research solutions and make sound decisions that balance client needs with business requirements.
  • Resolve a wide range of travel-related questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Coordinate travel services and manage urgent or complex booking requests.
  • Make outbound calls to hotel partners to confirm reservations and billing.
  • Communicate professionally, clearly, and efficiently across all channels.
  • Offer reliable, informed travel advice tailored to client needs.
  • Document client issues for followup and future reference.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of company products, services, and promotions.
  • Support additional projects and assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Full fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • 3+ years experience as a Travel Agent or Travel Manager.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with Sabre GDS.
  • Proficiency with Sabre, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Outstanding time management skills-you're organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Reliable Alberta home address.
  • Flexible availability based on business needs.
  • You are smart, empathetic, independent, solutions-focused, and passionate about supporting travellers.
  • Proven record of punctuality and dependability.

Additional Considerations

  • This is a 100% remote, shift-based role supporting 24/7/365 after-hours operations. Early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays are required.
  • All after-hours positions include 4 to 6 weeks of in-office training at Elite Travel Management's Head Office.
  • Elite Travel Management provides all required equipment.
  • A designated, secure, and professional home workspace is required.

Why Join Us?

This position offers exceptional flexibility, as long as you maintain an Alberta home address and have access to your router.

We offer unlimited career growth potential, a competitive compensation package (base salary plus travel perks), and the chance to join a passionate team that is redefining the travel industry by doing things purposefully different.
