ASSISTANT MANAGER — MINNEAPOLIS

Role Description

The Assistant Manager supports ModernWell’s daily operations while creating a polished, professional and welcoming experience for members and guests.

This hands-on role combines hospitality, sales, communication, event coordination and administrative support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive. They take ownership of their responsibilities, communicate exceptionally well and know when to solve a problem independently and when to ask for guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests and manage daily check-ins.
  • Create a warm, welcoming and professional experience.
  • Build relationships with members and proactively respond to their needs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone, email and online inquiries.
  • Conduct tours for prospective members, office tenants and event clients.
  • Support and help drive membership, office, meeting-room and event sales.
  • Send timely, personalized follow-up after tours and visits.
  • Provide accurate information about ModernWell’s services, pricing and policies.
  • Obtain approval before offering discounts, policy exceptions or customized terms.
  • Coordinate meeting-room and event bookings.
  • Confirm event details, timelines, room arrangements and included amenities.
  • Prepare and reset rooms for meetings and events.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors and team members before and during events.
  • Assist with occasional evening or weekend events as scheduled.
  • Maintain clean, organized and fully stocked shared spaces, kitchens and meeting rooms.
  • Monitor supplies and coordinate ordering as needed.
  • Identify and help resolve building, maintenance and technology issues.
  • Assist with member communications, onboarding, account updates and recordkeeping.
  • Receive, sort and distribute member mail and packages accurately.
  • Maintain accurate information in OfficeRnD and other ModernWell platforms.
  • Help communicate daily priorities and support part-time team members.
  • Promptly communicate unresolved questions, potential errors and operational concerns.
  • Take initiative when work needs to be completed without waiting for step-by-step direction.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, office management, sales or community management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional organization, initiative and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing needs and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when approval is required.
  • Comfort using booking platforms, office equipment and standard workplace technology.

  • Event coordination experience is a plus.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position based primarily at ModernWell Minneapolis. The schedule is generally Monday through Friday during business hours, with occasional early-morning, evening or weekend event coverage.

Compensation

  • $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience.
