Mammography Technologist PRN

Work Location: Frisco, Texas

Work Hours: PRN/As Needed

Department Highlights:

Here is what you will need:

  • Texas Medical Board License - MRT
  • Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

  • Provide services and support for the following areas:
    • Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
    • Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
    • Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
    • Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
    • Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
    • Complete appropriate documentation.
    • Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
    • Assist in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
    • Promote privacy and comfort for the patient.
