Travel Mammography Clinical Educator

The Travel Mammography Clinical Educator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinical practicum for their assigned mammography trainees. This role ensures trainees meet clinical milestones, gain proficiency in mammographic positioning, and fulfill all MQSA and ARRT requirements. The Clinical Educator provides hands-on training, coordinates educational workshops, and collaborates on-site with staff across our footprint to support a high-quality learning environment.

Here is what you will need:
  • ARRT advanced level certification in mammography required.
  • Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
  • Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as mammography technologist.
  • Experience in all aspects of mammography, including biopsy procedures.
  • Previous experience educating and training mammographers, ideally as an existing Solis preceptor.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and Solis values role model.
  • Well-organized, autonomous, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to travel: this role will be on-site for 8-10 weeks per trainee and is expected to be 75% travel annually

A Day in the Life of a Travel Mammography Clinical Educator:
  • Provides 8-10 weeks of on-site clinical mentorship of mammography trainees across the Solis footprint
  • Conducts hands-on positioning workshops with trainees.
  • Oversees all ARRT licensing mammography requirements and MQSA initial qualifications for mammography trainees.
  • Conducts image audits on trainee images to meet 12 ACR positioning requirements.
  • Provides feedback of images and patient care as necessary.
  • Responsible for verifying exams within ARRT for mammography trainees.
  • Conducts consistent interval check-ins with trainees throughout the training process and documents training experience.
  • Maintains training documentation and submits in a timely manner.
  • Acts as a positive representative of the Solis Mammography Training Program, maintaining positive relationships with trainees, Solis leadership, department representatives, and radiologists.
  • When not actively precepting, the Clinical Educator will work as a float mammography technologist to maintain their continuing experience requirements.
