Iron Core Mechanical Ltd. is seeking an experienced and motivated Class A Gasfitter or qualified Gasfitter Apprentice to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled trades professional who brings strong technical capability, a safety-first mindset, and hands-on experience in both industrial maintenance and construction environments.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex mechanical systems, enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving, and has experience working with instrumentation and controls in industrial or commercial settings. Whether you are an experienced journeyperson or an apprentice looking to continue building your technical expertise, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair gas-fired equipment and mechanical systems exceeding 400,000 BTU's Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial and commercial systems Participate in construction, installation, and commissioning projects Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings Assist with instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting Diagnose operational issues and implement effective solutions Knowledge of B149 Gas Code Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations Collaborate with project teams, operators, and other trades onsite Maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation Requirements Required Valid Class A Gasfitter Certification or registered Gasfitter Apprentice Journeyman Plumber certification considered a strong asset Experience in Maintenance environments, Construction projects, Instrumentation systems, and/or Burner Management Systems Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Assets Experience with industrial controls and automation systems Welding or pipefitting experience Experience working in industrial plants, oil & gas, manufacturing, or commercial mechanical environments Safety certifications including Confined Space, Elevated Work Platform, Fall Arrest, H2S, First Aid, CSTS, and WHMIS Benefits What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Opportunities for overtime and project work Supportive and safety-focused work environment Opportunity to work on diverse industrial and mechanical projects Long-term growth and development opportunities About Iron Core Mechanical Ltd.
