Division:  Facilities

Position Overview

The Maintenance position inspects the facility for equipment,furnishings or other areas that are in need of repair.  The position reports to the MaintenanceSupervisor.

Job Functions

A       Ensure public areas aremaintained.

A       Complete maintenance repairs andreplacement of items as required.

A       Complete repairs to ensurefacilities, furnishings and equipment are in good repair and in good workingorder.

A       Provide maintenance or repairs forexterior and grounds, including repair in parking lots, signage, painting,maintenance for equipment (eg; snowblowers, lawn mower etc.), gardening, andassisting with snow/ice removal.

A       Ensure that work is done toregulations, standards and/or policies of the casino.

Requirements

A       Experience in maintenance andapplicable training.

A       Professional knowledge orcertification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, watertreatment and landscaping (preferred).

A       Experience in managing anddirecting the work of others.

A       Good client service skills.

A       Able to work independently, with minimaldirection.

A       Good English communication skills.

A       Valid WHMIS certificate, familiarwith Health & Safety, fire and building codes.

Other Skills/Abilities

A       Must be physically capable ofwalking or standing for long periods, some lifting, bending or other physicalactivities to complete work is required.

A       Available on call or after hours,on occasion.
