We are presently seeking a Production Planning Supervisor who be responsible for supervising and coordinating production planning activities for optical components and systems.

  • Supervise and lead the production planning team for optical manufacturing operations (e.g., lenses, mirrors, coatings, assemblies)
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints
  • Coordinate material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure availability of raw materials and components
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to address delays, equipment issues, or supply disruptions
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with optical specifications and tolerances
  • Optimize workflow, capacity utilization, and throughput in high-precision manufacturing processes
  • Analyze production data and KPIs (on-time delivery, cycle time, yield, WIP levels) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Communicate production status, risks, and mitigation plans to management and stakeholders
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate planning team members
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • At least 1-2 years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, SAP a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools

Pay Range:  $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
