Job description


The Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is looking for a traveling Field Maintenance Millwright stationed at our Kentucky locations. The Field Maintenance Millwright will travel to various Levy sites to process raw material through a slag processing plant. Responsible for plant production tracking, plant maintenance, and housekeeping.
Pay: $40-50 an hour

Responsibilities
The Maintenance Millwright will:
  • Operate mobile equipment (including but not limited to excavator, loader, skidsteer, etc.)
  • Feed portable plant with raw materials
  • Stockpile materials around plant area
  • Use machinery to regulate flow, quality, and size of materials to and from conveyors, crushers, and screens
  • Inspect and dismantle machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and to correct the problem
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy
  • Maintain daily production reports
  • Repair and replace defective parts
  • Weld and fabricate various equipment and parts
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and plant
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills
  • Knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment and crusher plant
  • Knowledge of crushing, screening, belts and conveyors
  • Knowledge of materials and specification requirements
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of or under equipment
  • Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
  • Valid Chauffeurs license or CDL class A with Air Brakes license or the ability to obtain one
