 ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support day-to-day operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial food production equipment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that equipment remains operational, safe, and compliant to support high-speed packaging and processing functions.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment and support systems
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures
  • Perform repairs using power tools, welding equipment, test meters, and hand tools
  • Work with PLCs, motor circuits, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and electrical controls
  • Dismantle, inspect, and replace parts on packaging lines, conveyors, and pumps

Preventative Maintenance & Safety Compliance

  • Execute preventive maintenance per schedule using schematics, blueprints, or technical manuals
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs and completed work orders
  • Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines, Lockout/Tagout, and all GSF food safety protocols
  • Assist fellow mechanics with heavy equipment or complex repairs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Pay Rate: $32/hour base
    Incentive Pay: Earn up to an additional $10.38/hour by completing job-related skills assessments within the first 90 days.
    Sign on Bonus: $5,000

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Prior experience or training in one or more of the following:
    • PLC/motor controls, industrial electrical, welding, refrigeration, mechanical repair
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and work in hot, wet, noisy environments
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, and communication skills
