Position Overview:
Essilor is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician 2 for its Sauk Rapids, MN facility. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and support equipment to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically skilled, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production and support equipment.
โ€ข Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
โ€ข Perform general facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and basic building repairs.
โ€ข Respond to maintenance requests quickly and effectively to minimize equipment downtime.
โ€ข Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting using tools such as multimeters and amp meters.
โ€ข Log and maintain detailed equipment performance and maintenance records.
โ€ข Assist in chemical handling, changeovers, and basic metal fabrication or welding tasks.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety standards.
โ€ข Participate in daily safety and department meetings.
โ€ข Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
โ€ข Support cross-functional teams and other maintenance staff as required.

Required Qualifications:
โ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent required.
โ€ข Minimum 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment.
โ€ข Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
โ€ข Basic knowledge of test equipment (multimeter, amp meter, etc.).
โ€ข Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
โ€ข Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
โ€ข Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs and perform tasks involving climbing, kneeling, or standing for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Low Voltage Electrical License.
โ€ข Valid Driverโ€™s License.
โ€ข Basic refrigeration knowledge.
โ€ข Experience with welding, plumbing, or HVAC maintenance.
