The Facilities Maintenance Manager - Southeast is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repair, and facilities operations for a portfolio of convenience store locations across the Southeast region. This role ensures stores are safe, functional, compliant, and wellmaintained, while minimizing downtime and controlling costs.

The ideal candidate is a handson leader with strong vendor management experience, a sense of urgency, and a customerfocused mindset who understands the fastpaced nature of retail and fuel environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Maintenance Operations
  • Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance for Cstore locations, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, fuel systems, and general building maintenance
  • Ensure rapid response to emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failure and extend asset life
Vendor & Contractor Management
  • Manage relationships with thirdparty vendors and service providers
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service level agreements are met
  • Approve invoices and monitor costs to stay within budget
Regional Oversight
  • Support multiple store locations across the Southeast region
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess facility conditions and compliance
  • Partner with Operations, Construction, and Safety teams to support store needs
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all facilities meet local, state, and federal codes and safety requirements
  • Support health, safety, and environmental initiatives
  • Maintain documentation related to inspections, permits, and compliance
Budgeting & Reporting
  • Manage regional maintenance budgets and forecast expenses
  • Track maintenance trends and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Provide regular reporting on facilities condition, spend, and performance metrics
QualificationsRequired
  • 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in convenience store, retail, fuel, or multiunit environments
  • Proven experience managing vendors and service contracts
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing)
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the Southeast region
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reporting tools
Preferred
  • Experience supporting fuel and petroleum facilities
  • Supervisory or peoplemanagement experience
  • Familiarity with retail operational environments
  • OSHA or facilitiesrelated certifications
Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel extensively within the Southeast region
  • Ability to visit active construction and store locations
  • Occasional afterhours or weekend availability for emergencies
