Summary/Objective

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and structural components. The ideal candidate blends strong technical aptitude with outstanding communication skills, serving as a clear and approachable point of contact for staff, vendors, and management to ensure maintenance issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Essential Functions

  • Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose system failures and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Provide prompt, clear, and professional updates to team members and management regarding work status, repair timelines, and maintenance schedules.
  • Clearly document and report maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory needs.
  • Vendor & Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with external contractors, vendors, and internal team members to coordinate repairs and facility projects.
  • Facility Inspections: Conduct routine safety and operational inspections of grounds, structural components, and shared equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and work collaboratively to resolve immediate safety or operational risks.
Requirements:

Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical systems, and general mechanical repair.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical staff and write thorough work-order reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic, critical thinking, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-service mindset when interacting with staff, management, and contractors.
  • Competencies in Paint,Drywall, and Carpet Cleaning

Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Physical demands

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Work on ladders/scaffolding, and stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and on ladders or lifts while following all safety procedures.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform repetitive movements involving reaching, grasping, twisting, and overhead work.

Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time hours 5am-1pm, 40 hours per week

Required education and experience

  • Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities upkeep, or a related trade. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethics, willingings to learn, and positive attitude.

Preferred education and experience

  • Familiarity with Angel, the Angel Guild, and our body of work (films, series, and other projects).
  • Familiarity with AI
