Job Description

The primary purpose of the Blow Mold Maintenance Tech is to safely perform general and preventative maintenance on all blow mold and other related equipment.

Shift: 8 hours, Mon-Fri

Your Role in Unpacking Possibilities

Key accountabilities and tasks for this role

  • Complete all tasks listed in the Weekly PM program in FMS.
  • Follow the established standard program checklist.
  • All applicable information should be verified and entered by mechanic.
  • All GMP items will be completed before machine is turned back over to production.
  • All safeties will be checked each PM and verified for proper operation. If found deficient report to Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead so repairs can be made during pm.
  • Observe all LOTO procedures that have been established.
  • Lubricate entire machine, to machine specifications.
  • List all pressures, lubricate levels, temperatures, and filtration pressures and record on P.M. sheet.
  • Leave machine clean of hand prints and excess grease and lubricate.
  • Check machine for all air leaks and repair where possible, or report leaks to Maintenance Lead for repair.
  • Repair oil leaks that are detected during PM.
  • Leave area clean and mopped at the end on Daily PM.
  • Responsible for checking out parts and equipment from supply room using the SAP system for part removal.
  • Responsible for entering and closing FMS and SAP work orders and PM documents.
  • Associate should be available for call-ins, and overtime as needed to support equipment.
  • Associate should be capable of blasting the mold components as a substitute for the regular blaster, and help cover vacations and absences of regular blaster.
  • Associate is expected to follow instructions and requirements given by Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and Shift Supervisor.
  • Additional duties will be assigned by Injection Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, or Injection Maintenance Lead, as business changes require.

  • High School Diploma or GED. Post-secondary education preferred in related field (Technical or Vocational education)
  • 2 years machinery operator/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Ability to communicate well on all levels and good interpersonal skills required
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent changes or unexpected events
