Maintenance Assistant - NHC HealthCare Lexington
Location: 2993 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC
Are you a hardworking, hands-on professional with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? NHC HealthCare Lexington is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team!
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our facility is safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for our patients, residents, and staff. If you enjoy a dynamic workday where you can work both indoors and outdoors, tackle a variety of projects, and make a real difference in a healthcare setting, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Inspect, care for, maintain, and repair facility property, grounds, and equipment.
  • Assist in planning and executing repair, maintenance, and new installation/construction projects.
  • Perform routine groundskeeping and heavy custodial duties.
  • Monitor facility systems, ensuring everything functions safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule and respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
What You Bring (Requirements & Skills)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Familiarity with local building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, including their proper care and safe usage.
