Job description

TITLE: Maintenance Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for managing the plant maintenance and projects in a cost effective and safe manner that will maximize equipment uptime.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience
  • Strong background with PLC controls and variable speed drives
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the direct supervisor of maintenance technicians.
  • Manages and implements capital projects.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with production, QA and Logistics
  • Conducts engineering evaluations of contractors and vendors in regard to maintenance support
  • Maintains optimal level of maintenance and electronic parts
  • Ensures preventive maintenance schedules are met
  • Ensures mechanical and electrical technicians are properly trained
  • Other duties as assigned
