Shift: 2nd Shift - M-F 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and assign daily jobs and work orders and provide clear direction to maintenance employees. Monitor activities to ensure an efficient and safe maintenance operation.
  • Complete supervisory activities such as administering employee promotions and transfers; reviewing and editing employee timekeeping; completing performance evaluations; and mentoring, training, and coaching employees.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all preventative maintenance work orders are completed within the given time. Assist with everyday maintenance issues and repairs.
  • Actively support and implement preventative maintenance programs; schedule and provide constant monitoring of the preventative maintenance program and make adjustments as needed.
  • Serve as first point of contact for emergency maintenance requests.
  • Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
  • Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
  • Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience; food manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Maintenance experience in electrical, welding, boiler, ammonia, refrigeration, compressed air, wastewater, and plumbing.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience utilizing a CMMS.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
