Description:

The Maintenance Director will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities:

  •        Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  •        Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
  •        Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  •        Performs routine maintenance on building systems including lighting, flooring, plumbing, painting.
  •        Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  •        Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  •        Utilizes supplies and equipment properly without waste.
  •        Performs emergency housekeeping.
  •        Works jointly with facility maintenance/housekeeping staff to service floors, all patient rooms, baths, lounges, nurses stations, and offices as assigned.
  •        Vacuums and shampoos carpeting and rugs.

Qualifications:

  •        High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
  •        Maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting.
  •        1+ year of supervisory or management experience.
  •        Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
  •        Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  •        Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, CMS, state inspections).
  •        Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  •        Proficient in Computer Literacy
  •        Ability to work on-call or respond to emergencies as needed.
