Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) The MRO Buyer/planner will have primary responsibility to ensure that critical spare parts are kept at correct inventory levels, stockroom organization, and incoming receiving. Coordination of service requests for maintenance and facilities department and financial responsibility over spend for variable overhead supplies and maintenance for the plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:
•    Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.
•    Work with Vendors to resolve or improve spare parts deficiencies
•    Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory and control costs.
•    Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
•    Research, prepare, and review quotes to secure the most competitive bids.
•    May authorize the payment of invoices or return of merchandise.
•    Resolves supplier issues in a timely and effective manner.
•    Maintain, updates pricing details for assigned vendor(s)/material(s) in CMMS.
•    Responsible for planning and scheduling preventative and predictive maintenance activities
•    Schedules PM activities
•    Ensure Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Work Orders are not open longer than 14 days
•    Ensures proper workload is scheduled for skilled trade personnel
•    Develop strategies for improving department & plant KPIs
•    Aid Maintenance Manager in Coordinating plant annual maintenance shutdown PM activities
•    Aids the Maintenance Manager to:
     Prioritize and Drive Safety Work Order Completion with Upmost Urgency
     Ensure no Safety Work Orders are Open longer than 14 Days and Emergency Orders are Addressed Immediately
     Ensure Work Notifications are scheduled in 5 days or less
•    Maintains controlled backlog hours to a goal of 2 weeks per Maintenance Technician
•    Understands and follows all procedures associated with job functions.
•    Performs special projects as directed.
•    Participates on Work Teams.
•    Keeps an “open line” of communications with Managers, Supervisors, and colleagues.
•    Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
•    Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Other Responsibilities:
•    Able and willing to work all shifts and hours as assigned.
•    Performs other related duties as required or as directed.

Minimum Job Requirements:
•    Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making
•    Must have effective planning, organizational, decision making skills and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
•    Possesses an advanced understanding of MRP (material requirements planning) tools and techniques.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•    Strong written and oral communication.
•    Exemplary interpersonal skills and desire for collaboration.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of vendor management and procurement activities.
•    Experience in managing a monthly financial budget based on sales forecast for VOH spend
