Horizon Senior Residences is a rapidly growing Canadian senior living company. It currently operates seven retirement communities in Quebec and anticipates future expansion. With over 1,500 apartments in Greater Montreal, Joliette, and Bécancour, our mission is to provide residents with a pleasant living environment (independent living, assisted living, and memory care), quality care and services, and responsible management. The Heritage Plateau Residence is looking for a maintenance worker: Part-time position, 24 hours per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Unionized position Hours: 8am to 4:30pm Salary $21.41/hr What you will be doing at our place: Perform minor plumbing and mechanical repairs To collaborate and contribute to the maintenance activities of the residence in order to keep the interior spaces of the residence safe and in good condition. Responding to various service calls and providing excellent customer service with friendliness and professionalism Perform various repair, renovation and modification work on apartments (carpentry, electricity, plumbing, plastering, painting, flooring) Perform periodic checks and routine adjustments of equipment (lighting, heating, air conditioning, elevators, smoke detectors, call bells, etc.) In collaboration with the maintenance manager, conduct daily inspections of the building, identify anomalies, diagnose problems, and propose solutions. In collaboration with the maintenance manager, ensure follow-up on annual inspections. Perform seasonal work In collaboration with the maintenance manager, ensure that the facility meets hygiene standards and take measures to prevent any contamination.
