Job description


We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team.

Overview of Duties:

  • Perform monthly equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain all HVAC and AC units (over 30 units on the property), including changing filters, cleaning drain lines, and maintaining hair traps.
  • Inspect equipment and perform basic repairs or preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Complete general handyman tasks, including carpentry, fencing, awning repairs, and gate latch maintenance.
  • Conduct minor electrical work, plumbing, and installations.
  • Keep the property grounds clean and well-maintained.
  • Repair artificial turf and perform basic irrigation installation/repairs.
  • Serve as the lead maintenance technician on some projects while also working independently.
  • Monitor all equipment and coordinate professional repairs when necessary.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, some requiring quick learning and others needing prior experience or training.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally in buildings without heating or air conditioning.

Job Brief:

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. You will collaborate with management and the Director of Operations to develop and follow a structured maintenance schedule, including daily routines and project timelines.

Schedule & Availability:

  • Schedule: Four 10-hour days or as needed
  • Regular work hours: Variable
  • Must work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
  • Must be available for emergency calls on days off.

Requirements:

  • Ability to meet physical demands (standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.).
  • Frequent handling of items of varying sizes and weights.
  • Note: Lifting over 50 lbs may require team assistance (e.g., appliances, A/C units).
  • Frequent outdoor work and attic access.
  • Frequent kneeling, bending, and manual labor.
  • Proficiency with power and hand tools (hammers, saws, drills, etc.).
  • Experience in routine maintenance.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Attention to detail and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused.
  • Must complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
  • Must be thorough, reliable, honest, organized, flexible, and service-oriented.
  • Willingness to conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Must love dogs!
