The Maintenance Helper supports Marriott International corporate headquarters office by ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained workplace for associates. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, responding promptly to work orders, assisting with furniture moves and reconfiguration of office furniture event setups (including stage builds and furniture moves), and providing hands-on support for engineering and operations teams.   • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.

Maintenance Duties
  • Assist with physical, non-technical tasks such as moving furniture and office moves/reconfigurations.
  • Provide hands-on help for day-to-day operations, including preventive maintenance and workplace upkeep.
  • Respond to emergency room, space, and stage set-ups.
  • Offer coverage for loading dock operations when needed.
  • Support customer service delivery by ensuring timely assistance for internal requests and maintaining a clean, functional environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and company standards during all tasks, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance activities including but not limited to light bulb replacement, filter changes, minor plumbing, and minor repairs under supervision of engineering staff.
  • Assist with inventory management for supplies and report shortages to the maintenance manager.
  • Provide general support for access, deliveries, and stocking supplies.
  • Escort and badge vendors to support project work and walk-throughs.
  • Participate in on-the-job training programs to develop skills for future advancement into technical roles.

  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.

Maintain Building and Property
  • Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
  • Data management under guidance of engineering team to document work orders, procedures, inventories, and reporting on work output.

Plumbing
  • Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing spigots and faucets using appropriate techniques.
