Maintenance Director – Healthcare Facility

Location: Greater Seattle Area, WA
Job Type: Full-Time

A well-established healthcare facility in the Greater Seattle area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations of the facility.

The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, equipment, and systems are properly maintained and operating safely and efficiently. This position works closely with facility leadership and department managers to maintain a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all maintenance and physical plant operations

  • Manage preventative maintenance programs and routine repairs

  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety and regulatory requirements

  • Conduct routine building and safety inspections

  • Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors

  • Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and departmental expenses

  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure appropriate follow-up

  • Maintain required maintenance, inspection, and compliance documentation

  • Supervise and provide direction to maintenance staff

  • Work collaboratively with facility leadership to identify and address building and equipment needs

Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance or facilities management experience required

  • Healthcare, skilled nursing, senior living, or long-term care experience strongly preferred

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and life-safety requirements

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to urgent maintenance needs
