Job description

THE ROLE

Working often behind the scenes to maintain the safety of our stores and grounds, our Maintenance Helper Clerks enjoy working to ensure our extensive facilities are clean, in good repair, and in a condition that provides guests with a visually appealing marketplace to explore. Our fast-paced environment requires team members to successfully prioritize between routine tasks (such as regular equipment checks and cleaning) and immediate guest needs. We seek outgoing, friendly individuals to help us maintain our stores!


MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'D DO

  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance responsibilities for the interior and exterior of the store, including surrounding grounds.
  • Assist with maintaining interior and exterior areas of the store, including equipment and fixtures.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including helping customers find products, locating team members to best serve customer needs, and pleasantly cleaning-up any breakage or spills resulting from customer accidents.
  • Prevent internal and external loss.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

For this role, we seek candidates with a high level of self-motivation and initiative who can problem solve and have proven success working in a diverse team environment. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output while working within deadlines; they will possess excellent time management and organizational skills.

Our team members deliver exceptional customer service and possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Hired team members will demonstrate understanding of basic health and sanitation requirements, as well as comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry-related cleaning tools and solutions; MSDS experience preferred.

We strive to find candidates with knowledge of food safety, HACCP/Department of Health guidelines. Ideally, our new Maintenance Helper Clerk will have experience in cleaning, maintenance, and light industry-related repair. Hired candidate must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, climb ladders, and must possess a valid WA State Driver's License with a responsible driving record.
