Job description

Position Overview:
Responsible for understanding company data and advanced use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools to create, refine and publish reports, visualizations and dashboards. Acts as a liaison between users, developers and other data centric positions. Supports and maintains data warehouses and analytical environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BI tools and Reporting
  • Collaborate with technical teams on specifications and modifications
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations
  • Provide input on the prioritization of Data Engineering projects
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
  • Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies
  • Partner with business units to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
  • Support data analysis, data mining, and analytical environments
  • Provide end-user training and support on reports, dashboards and BI tools
  • Manage user access and permissions for dashboards and reporting
  • Monitor industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with BI software (Tableau, Apache Superset, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Statistical Models is a plus

Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Normal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment.
