NAVA Software solutions is looking for a Mainframe Quality Assurance Engineer with (TOSCA)
Details:
Mainframe Quality Assurance Engineer with (TOSCA)
Location: Berkley Heights NJ or Omaha, NE - Onsite
Duration: 6-12 months
Job Description:
  • Perform testing activities, including planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging and reporting tasks.
  • Understand and communicate the scope of testing required to meet business capabilities.
  • Define test objectives, write and execute test cases and test scenarios to ensure that software products meet design specifications and quality measurements.
  • Create, review and approve test plans. Identify applications for automated and build efficient algorithms and automation modules in TOSCA for performing regression testing, functional testing of commonly used transactions as well as creating automated end to end testing.
  • Assist with managing post-design scope changes and resolve issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Job Specific needs & Responsibilities:
  • Must have 3+ years of experience working on mainframe testing activities including planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging and reporting tasks.
  • Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience working on TOSCA in mainframe environment.
  • Working knowledge in Mainframe and associated languages. CICS, COBOL, DB2 & assembler knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have fintech application knowledge (debit/credit cards & payments, networks).
  • Must have capabilities to perform manual testing, troubleshooting, performance testing.
  • Experience in DevOps, Agile and jira are preferred.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Expert in multiple languages and tools. Some knowledge in emerging technologies.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools as well as all functional areas in IT organization.
  • Good understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies such knowledge to support the needs of the business.
  • Strong understanding of complex internal business processes or functions.
  • Works on moderate to complex projects and issues within functional area.
  • Works more independently with IT functional units and business units. Recommends strategies for improving system applications.
  • Should be a quick learner, Detail-oriented, Multitasker.
  • Mentoring and leading less experienced team members; teaching automation processes.
