Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS on IBM Mainframe systems.
  • Perform analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of application enhancements and new development.
  • Work closely with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability by tuning SQL queries and optimizing CICS transactions.
  • Manage batch processes and online systems, including error handling and recovery procedures.
  • Provide production support for business-critical applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Participate in code reviews, peer testing, and defect resolution to maintain coding standards and application quality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, program logic, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and migration projects.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and change management procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Mainframe application development.
  • Strong programming skills in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
  • Experience in System z platform and CICS system administration.
  • Proficiency in DB2 SQL for query tuning, optimization, and database interaction.
  • Hands-on experience with batch processing and real-time transaction processing.
