We are currently seeking a Mailroom Support Technician to provide key support for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Command Mailroom Center (NAVSEA 10G3) processing incoming and outgoing mail, complying with established security standards and performing courier services. Candidate will be knowledgeable in administering routine aspects of the mailroom programs to ensure compliance with government policies and procedures. Candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a bias for action and, be able to build high-trust partnerships with management and other mailroom team members, while being energetic, detail oriented, analytical, and self-starting. Duties: * Analyze official correspondence addressed to NAVSEA personnel to determine the cognizant action officer * Analyze and determines routing and control of high-level priority correspondence by higher echelon organizations external to NAVSEA * Maintain pertinent information on controlled correspondence by logging and use of an automated system * Receive and answer telephone and walk-in inquiries * Assist in the distribution of directives and other material that requires multiple routings * Use various software packages to process incoming and outgoing mail smoothly and efficiently * Retrieve employee information from Command global to properly route documents * Receive and processes incoming and outgoing mail containing classified, controlled unclassified, and personally identifiable information. Education: * Bachelors Degree or Associate's Degree with minimum 2 years equivalent relevant work experience. Required Experience: * At least 5 years of experience in DoD and Navy mailroom operations preferred * Clear understanding and working knowledge of DoD and Navy mail center security protocols * Strong Customer Service skills * Communicate effectively both in writing and orally with all levels of staff and outside personne * Teamwork skills * Self-starter able to take initiative within a fast paced, agile environment * Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint * Well organized and confident to work independently but be a strong team player * Must be self-motivated and results oriented. * Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and multi-task on a variety of initiatives * Ability to lift 45 pounds * Ability to stand for long periods of time, walking and bending * Ability to work under pressure due to tight deadlines and increased workloads Must currently hold and maintain a Secret security clearance.
