Job description

The Position The Part-Time Office Assistant - Mailroom/Finance announcement will remain open until 100 applications are received or until July 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., whichever occurs first, after which time the job announcement will be expired. Currently there is one part-time vacancy in the Finance Department. The position's primary function will be to support the department's mailroom courier and /central stores division as well as perform a wide variety of general clerical duties

Flexible hours, but must be available 2-3 days per week, Monday-Friday, for 6-8 hours per day. Candidates most qualified will be contacted for interview. Key Responsibilities The primary function of this position will be to support mailroom courier and central stores services.

Tasks may include processing and distributing mail; operating mailing machines; participating in a variety of special projects; filling and delivering central stores orders; delivering received goods including lifting heavy packages; assisting with inventory of surplus goods and performing other related duties as required or assigned. In addition to these duties, this position will perform general clerical duties; provide clerical support, which may include, but is not limited to the following: data entry, record keeping, answer phones and route calls, attend meetings, answer questions and provide information; type a variety of documents in draft and final form, complete standard office forms and provide support to staff. Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Be detailed-oriented, work independently, and possess good organizational and communication skills.

Be able to take direction and received feedback Be dependable and flexible. Possess excellent time management skills. Be able to balance and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with constant interruptions.

Apply and exercise discretion and judgment in resolving problems. Have basic skills in Microsoft Office. Be able to provide high quality customer service to the public and fellow co-workers.

Be able to maintain a professional, courteous and friendly attitude in a fast-paced working environment Experience & Education Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Special Requirements A valid Driver's License is required**
