 POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Database Encoder is responsible for accurate and timely entry, maintenance, verification, updating, and maintaining guests’ and marketing data within the casino's database systems. They will ensure data integrity by verifying information, reviewing live variable data from the mail house. correcting discrepancies and adhering to established data entry standards. Assists with the preparation of marketing lists, player segmentation, promotions, and direct mail campaigns by maintaining accurate records and generating reports as needed. Will be expected to understand all casino software relating to promotions. Collaborate with the Marketing team to support player development initiatives while maintaining strict confidentiality of guest’s information and complying with all company policies and data privacy standards.

This position ensures confidentiality of guests, team members, and LEC&H information, and promotes positive guests and team members relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines. A neat, well-groomed, professional appearance is essential at all times. 


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential function of the Marketing Database Encoder includes but is not limited to:


  • Content creation and copywriting for social media platforms
  • Data entry for updates to player accounts within the database.
  • Audit and help ensure clean data for mailing lists.
  • Apply appropriate writing styles to a variety of pieces (ranging from technical to conversational to attention-grabbing and so-on) while maintaining a voice appropriate to LEC&H brand standards.
  • Collateral proofing
  • The coordinator will engage and inform guests by working with the LECH advertising agency to plan and schedule social media content.
  • Help keep the company website up to date and optimize search engines.
  • Keep online profiles up to date and monitor key performance metrics.
  • Engage in professional development as needed to stay current in emerging digital platforms, communication and social media trends, and job-related computer hardware and software needs.
  • Maintain quality control by proofreading the copywriter’s own work along with that of other team members and external partners as assigned.
  • Setting up and testing email campaigns, auditing mailing lists, and ensuring clean data.
  • Work independently on tasks and collaboratively on strategy and content development.
  • Prioritize and track the progress of all jobs, including specifications, progress, timelines and other project variables.
  • Archive and maintain files and create reports as needed.
  • Interact effectively with fellow team members and guests to support the Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel’s Mission Statement to “deliver memorable and rewarding experiences through heartfelt service.”
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

An Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information System. High school diploma and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered. 


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 


  •  One (1) to three (3) years of data entry, database management, marketing support, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of writing techniques included those needed for search engine optimization and social media management. 
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and planning skills, including exacting attention to detail and follow-through. 
  • Experience managing websites and online profiles. 
  • Working knowledge of web programming languages, including HTML and CSS. 
  • Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office, with a special focus on Excel. 
  • Experience with a CMS like WordPress or Drupal preferred
  • A working knowledge of Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
  • Prior experience working with casinos, hospitality, resorts, or similar entertainment destinations is preferred. 
  • Policy-writing experience is a plus


Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.
