Job description

Receptionist Position

Requirements: All applicants must be:

  • 18 years of age
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the US

Primary function of a receptionist:

Provide general receptionist, phone, mailing/shipping and administrative support to our Division office in Apex, NC.

Typical duties included but are not limited to:

Phone System Operations:

  • Maintain working knowledge of all features of the telephone system and voicemail.
  • Answer phones in a professional manner and direct callers to appropriate staff.
  • Utilize company phone lists for directing calls.

Welcome people to the office:

  • Greet customers and visitors in a professional manner and direct them as needed.
  • Notify staff when they have a visitor.
  • Keep lobby and reception areas neat, clean and well organized.

Manage all incoming and outgoing mail:

  • Receive and sort incoming and outgoing mail for the Division Office and multiple divisions, including inter-office mail.
  • Prepare and process all outgoing mail to include accurate weighing, coding, sorting, affixing postage, properly addressing and preparing certified/overnight/return receipt mail.

Administrative support duties:

  • Track inventory and order office supplies.
  • Assist Office Manager with communicating company news and events to vendors and clients.
  • Assist Office Manager with organizing and/or communicating about company community service projects and annual events.
  • Provide administrative support to various Division and Corporate Departments, as needed.

Skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient in use of multi-line switchboard
  • Proficient in use of postage machines and overnight shipping procedures
  • Proficient in the use of various shipping methods and vendors (i.e., FedEx, USPS, courier services, etc.)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to multi-task

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
