Receptionist- FT | Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health | Garner, North Carolina
About the Job:
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm + Rotating Weekends!
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, employees, answering the switchboard, responding to inquiries, connecting caller with appropriate party, paging overhead when appropriate, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail and providing additional clerical support as requested.
Roles and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Operates switchboard, answers, transfers, and disseminates all incoming calls to appropriate people in a professional and courteous manner and takes messages.
  • Pages individuals over the central paging system as requested and according to hospital policy.
  • Greets, welcomes, and directs individuals entering the Hospital/Program promptly, assuring that all visitors, vendors and other guests are registered in the facility visitor's log.
  • Provides assistance to patients and employees, such as making changes, checking valuables, providing meal tickets, and providing postage as requested.
  • Sorts and delivers incoming mail and sends outgoing mail on a timely basis.
  • Handles facility inquiries and provide general information.
  • Maintains petty cash fund.
  • Receives and documents deliveries
  • Performs cash receipt batch write-up including G/L coding.
  • Accepts payments on patient accounts and writes receipts.
  • Notifies facility staff of visitor's arrival.
  • Maintains security by following established procedures including monitoring guest logbook and issuing visitor badges, if required.
  • Performs data entry as assigned.
  • Provides clerical support to other departments, as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required.
