  3. Working knowledge of calculator, products, ability to cross reference competitor’s product, computer entry, and transmission.

Typical Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Clarifies descriptions, checks prices, and assigns plant mail and telephone purchase orders daily.
  2. Compares and matches confirmations with telephone orders for accuracy.
  3. Timely processes change orders, quotations, material return authorizations and cost requests.
  4. Maintains and keeps current regional open order file.
  5. Monitors ship dates and advises customers of order status.
  6. Upon request, expedites and traces overdue purchase orders as well as figures freight costs.
  7. Timely follow-up on quotes and sample orders.
  8. Performs any other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
