MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Mail Processing Network Infrastructure. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure supporting mission-critical USPS operations. Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for network architecture, implementation, troubleshooting, and security while supporting large-scale federal IT initiatives.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced network engineer to work on complex enterprise networking projects, strengthen critical federal infrastructure, and continue developing your technical expertise in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure supporting USPS Mail Processing Network environments.
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst switches, routers, and Layer 2 networking components.
  • Design and implement scalable network architectures for new and existing enterprise applications.
  • Manage IP address allocation, subnetting, routing protocols, and overall network infrastructure performance.
  • Install, configure, and support network security hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues using packet capture and analysis tools such as Wireshark.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex networking and multi-application connectivity issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including Statements of Work (SOWs), after-action reports, network diagrams, and technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement reliable, secure, and high-performing network solutions.
  • Support ongoing network optimization, performance tuning, and continuous process improvements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, VLANs, subnetting, and IP address management.
  • Experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWindsWireshark, or similar packet capture utilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex enterprise networking issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Ability to travel frequently, approximately 90%
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate network administration tasks.
  • Experience supporting virtualized or cloud-based network environments.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher.
  • Experience supporting large-scale federal government or enterprise network environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional technical teams.
