Torch Technologies Inc., is seeking a dedicated Temporary Part-Time Receptionist/Visitor Control that will provide receptionist support for the Company and work under our Corporate Administration Department. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is crucial in managing front desk operations, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining overall efficiency.
As a Temporary Part-Time Receptionist/Visitor Control your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Temporary position will provide surge support at the corporate front desk during the hours of 12:30pm and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with ability to cover more hours during absences/vacation of full-time receptionist. (period of 6-8 weeks)
  • Responsible for receiving visitors at the Torch corporate office reception area by greeting them in a polite and friendly manner, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain employee and department directories as a guide for directing visitors and others as appropriate.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness. Manage the visitor badge in/out process and maintain visitor logbook.
  • Prepare new hire swag bags.
  • Ensure reception area and all common areas are always kept in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Assist management and others with scheduling of meeting and conference rooms. May organize catering.
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to ensure office continuity is maintained.
  • Handle outgoing mail (ex. USPS, FedEx, etc.); receive deliveries, and sorts and distributes incoming mail.
  • Responsible for placing outgoing calls and setting up conference calls as needed.
  • May assist with stocking basic office supplies and drink/snacks in conference rooms and auditorium as needed.
  • Operates standard office equipment on a regular basis to include desk top computer, copy machine, postage meter and badge printer.
  • Ensures compliance with company rules and regulations in the reception area.
  • Performs other general administrative and clerical support duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • US Citizenship.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in an office environment. Prior Receptionist experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service role.
  • Must be able to cover full-time hours occasionally when full-time receptionist is absent or on vacation.
  • Must have the ability to maintain and obtain a security clearance.
